Here are the pencil-whipped results from the race site. I will get the results moved over to a spreadsheet complete with splits, but for now this will have to suffice. Thanks to Garnet Hill and all the volunteers who made the race a success!

This is the inaugural blog post of Adirondack Vauhti. I am happy to say that the team roster has reached double digits and that everyone is looking hungry for competition. It is great to see such a diverse group of skiers and I am excited for what this upcoming winter will hold. Here is a quick round-up:

Eric Brower, a Vauhti tri-founder and brand new Johnstown High School alumnus, is burning up the local roads with his sneakers as he continues his incredible surge to the top and is out to prove that his narrow missing of qualifying for NYSPHSAA XC Ski State Championships was a mere speed bump. He brings along his father, Matt Brower, who is looking to make the jump from recreational skiing to ski racing. This guy is tough. He will succeed. Out to bring friendly competition and to make sure Eric doesn't forget Section 2 racing is Vauhti's newest member, Mitchell Akowicz from Mayfield. Mitch is looking to lead the Mayfield boys ski team, make it to States again and bring his talents to the NYSSRA arena this winter. Emily Cromie, also from Mayfield, is looking really strong. Emily is focused and determined to continue to excel. This young lady is doing multiple fall sports while still attending Vauhti ski training summer sessions. Emily will definitely be making a name for herself in the Section 2  and NYSSRA ski scenes. New member Joe Dabritz brings his tenacious rugby spirit  (and strength!) to the team and sport as he looks to climb the NYSSRA ranks. Mark Chmielewicz has been logging tons of vertical on the hilly terrain of the southern Mohawk valley. Mark is poised to be a top ten point earner again this year and brings his ability and enthusiasm to Vauhti this year. Johnstown High School alumnus and ADK Vauhti tri-founder, Brett Schlesier, has been trouncing the competition in triathlons this summer and is looking to bring his winning ways to Nordic skiing again this winter. The Torniainen pojat - Matt, Matti, Erik, Paul - are busy training for the Birkie and arguing who will come out on top.
